Art Deco charm bracelet; 1938 Martin D-18 guitar; a 1976 letter from Frank Sinatra to Mike Royko.
ANTIQUES ROADSHOW’s visit to Madison, Wisconsin, includes a detour
with appraiser Wes Cowan to the Wisconsin Dells to discuss the late
19th-century stereoscopic photography of H.H. Bennett that made the
Dells famous. Highlights include an heirloom Art Deco charm
bracelet with a possible connection to John D. Rockefeller; an
heirloom 1938 Martin D-18 guitar, highly coveted by folk and
bluegrass musicians; and an angry 1976 letter from Frank Sinatra to
Chicago Daily News columnist Mike Royko, auctioned off for
charity by Royko and now worth $15,000.
