From humble beginnings in the central Texas hill country, Robert Earl Keen has garnered peer and fan cred as a living legend, recording 18 full-length albums with songs covered by artists from George Strait, Joe Ely, Lyle Lovett, the Highwaymen, Nanci Griffith and the Dixie Chicks. Though Keen has toured extensively both nationally and abroad, he is heralded as one of the Lone Star State’s most consistently acclaimed musical ambassadors, leading to his induction into the Texas Heritage Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2012, beside Lovett and the late Townes Van Zandt.
