*The Fort Dix Five- In late December 2008, five men were sentenced to life for plotting to kill American soldiers at the Fort Dix Army base in New Jersey. The case became known as the "Fort Dix Five." Using the Fort Dix story as a case study, Need to Know explores the profiles of the individuals convicted, and examines the U.S. strategy post 9-11 for stopping and finding homegrown terrorists before they strike. The show also explores questions about the danger of what the authorities are calling preemptive prosecutions which often rely on "sketchy" informants.
*Rebuilding the World Trade Center Site- Alison Stewart provides a progress report and tours the World Trade Center site, speaking with Julie Menin, Chairperson of Community Board 1 and board member of the September 11 Memorial and Museum, about the challenges of rebuilding the World Trade Center site.
*Interview: Alex Gibney- Alison Stewart speaks with documentary filmmaker Alex Gibney about his body of work and about his latest film, "My Trip to Al Queda," based on Pulitzer Prize winning author Lawrence Wright's one man play.
*In Perspective: A Jon Meacham Essay- Jon Meacham discusses the role of religion in America, and creating and bridging our differences on the anniversary of 9/11.
