Why does the comic-strip Adventures
of Tintin, about an intrepid boy reporter, continue to
fascinate decades after publication? This moving and beautifully
constructed documentary by Danish director Anders
Řstergaard highlights the potent social and political
underpinnings that give Tintin's world such depth. Rare and
surprisingly candid 1970s interviews reveal the profound
insecurities and anxieties that drove Hergé, Tintin's
work-obsessed Belgian creator, to produce stories that have not
only entertained millions of children but also helped to satisfy a
personal longing for self-expression. With stunning visual effects,
"Tintin and I" takes viewers on a fascinating journey into the
psyche and brilliant work of Hergé, in his own words.

"Lawn"--Using time-lapse, stop-motion,
long takes, a John Deere tractor and voices on a telephone,
Monteith McCollum (P.O.V. "Hybrid") creates a beautiful film
collage that looks at our relationship with nature and our desire
to control it.
