Correspondent Lucinda Mays invites viewers on a voyage to Santiago,
Chile, to tour a treasury of plant life that thrives in a range of
climates and habitats and represents the many multi-cultural and
historical influences of the region. A highlight of the trip is a
visit to Santa Rita Vineyards, where Lucinda reveals the secrets of
wine-making, chronicling the transformation of the grapes from the
vine to the bottle. Chef Marian Morash gets cooking with renowned
chef Rene Acklin as they prepare an array of native dishes,
including a traditional Chilean salad.
