PBS NEWSHOUR presents a special broadcast commemorating the 10th anniversary of the attacks of September 11, 2001. Live coverage of President Obama’s speech at the Washington National Cathedral will join coverage of the day’s memorial events in New York City, at the Pentagon, in Pennsylvania and other locations, as well as field reports from four locations across the country. Five members of the PBS NEWSHOUR team will lead the program: Hari Sreenivasan, Gwen Ifill, Judy Woodruff, Ray Suarez and Jeff Brown. Online, the NewsHour has been collecting user-generated pieces to form a "video quilt" of personal remembrances for the anniversary of 9/11; selected pieces will be included in this program, along with a live studio panel and a reading by former poet laureate Billy Collins.
