Celebrate the holiday season with CHRISTMAS AT CONCORDIA - JOURNEY TO BETHLEHEM. In this new special, nationally recognized composer and conductor René Clausen of Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota re-imagines Christmas, taking viewers of all faiths and traditions on a musical journey. The college’s 83rd annual concert combines the pageantry of opera, the grandeur of choral orchestral masterworks, and the intimacy of delicate solos. Taped on multiple stages and featuring 450 musicians in both large and small ensembles, the program’s diverse selections include sacred seasonal favorites and original compositions by René Clausen.

CHRISTMAS AT CONCORDIA - JOURNEY TO BETHLEHEM is part of holiday programming airing in December 2010 (check local listings) on PBS stations.
