This documentary tells the little-known story of the eight-day
boycott of the bus system by the African-American citizens of Baton
Rouge. The lessons learned during the boycott were later used by
the organizers of the better-known Montgomery Bus Boycott as a
guide for their activities. The program was named Best Historical
Documentary by the New York International Independent Film and
Video Festival and received an honorable mention from the American
Bar Association's Silver Gavel Awards.
