The daughter of an unwed mother, who herself has an unplanned baby out of wedlock, struggles with the idea of family.
In 1975 rural Texas, a local mayor's daughter grapples with an
unplanned pregnancy - finally deciding to have her baby in secret
before giving her away in a hidden adoption. Twenty-three years
later, the adopted child also has an unplanned baby out of wedlock.
"Sunshine" tells the intimate story of this second-generation
single mother and her own struggle with the idea of family, 30
years on. By Karen Skloss.
